Julia Ryskamp was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a member of the Art of the Americas project team, working on creating an interactive exhibition of the Nasher’s ancient American art collection using technology and 3D modeling. She is focused on the research and storytelling component, interested in the ways in which art can help us to better understand ancient Americans’ relationships to nature and their environments. Outside of Wired! she volunteers with FEMMES (Females Excelling More in Math, Engineering, and Science) and the Duke Puppy Kindergarten.
